Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry is an established international, scientific, open access, online-only journal. This journal provides an open-access forum for the exchange of information about contemporary, new, and significant research in pediatric dentistry throughout the world. The scope is therefore broad, ranging from original research articles, case reports, reviews, editorial comments, and letters to the editor within all aspects of pediatric dentistry including education, practice and research. The journal is published in three times in every year (April, August, and December), and its publication language is English. The journal does not have article processing charges or article submission charges. Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry performs double blind reviewing, where both the reviewer and author remain anonymous throughout the review process. At least two reviewers are needed for peer review. All type of submissions to Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry is subjected to peer-review.
The editorial and publication process of the Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry follows the principles of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry accepts manuscripts which are performed under the principles of international ethical guidelines. Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry is committed to the highest standards of research and publication ethics. If ethical misconduct is suspected, the Editorial Board will act in accordance with the relevant international rules of publication ethics. Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry reserves right to take all necessary actions based on the principles of COPE guidelines. Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry reserves right to take all necessary actions based on the principles of these guidelines. Author(s) have full responsibility for all the statements in their study. Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry accepts only submissions which fit to journal’s Author Guidelines. Manuscripts which do not follow the format and style of the journal may be returned to the authors for initial revision or rejected. The journal reserves the right to make any further formal changes and language corrections necessary in a manuscript accepted for publication.
Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry follows the retraction guidelines and related guidelines of COPE regarding identification, evaluation and publishing process of corrections and retraction.
Responsibilities of Authors
By submitting a manuscript to the Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry, the author(s) warrant that the manuscript is their own, original work and that it has neither been published previously nor is currently being considered for publication elsewhere. They also warrant that the sources of any ideas and/or words in the manuscript that are not their own have been properly attributed through appropriate citations and/or quotes.
Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry follows to the authorship criteria defined by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
Authors are required to submit the Manuscript Submission Form, Copyright Agreement Form, and Author Contribution Form during the submission process. These forms can be downloaded from the journal’s website; https://contemppediatrdent.org/submission-forms/
When submitting an article to Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry, authors agree to transfer all copyright ownership, including the right to reproduce the article in all forms and media, to Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry. Authors must complete and upload the Copyright Transfer Agreement Form.
Authors must declare Abbreviations, Ethics Approval and Consent to Participate, Consent for Publication, Availability of Data and Materials, Competing Interests, Funding, Authors’ Contributions, and Acknowledgments in the “Declarations” section at the end of the article. All authors must have reviewed and approved the final version of the article, agreed to its publication, and signed the Author Contribution Form. If a change is required in a published article in Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry, the author is obligated to promptly notify the journal’s editorial office.

Responsibilities of Reviewers
Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry gives highly importance on the comments and suggestions of reviewers to reach its publication quality. Being a reviewer in the Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry is voluntarily. Reviewers are free to decline invitations to review particular manuscripts at their discretion. They should also not accept manuscript review assignments for which they may have a potential conflict of interest in performing the review.
Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry requests the reviewers to send their reports within 14 days. If additional time is need, reviewer(s) should directly contact to the Editorial Office (info@contemppediatrdent.org).
Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry not only asks the Reviewers to provide the Editor(s) with the information needed to reach a decision but also to instruct the authors to help the paper to be strengthened. Negative review should explain to the authors the major weaknesses of their manuscript and guide how to improve the manuscript. We also welcome confidential comments to the editor.
All data and submission files obtained during review process must be kept confidential and not used for personal use.

Responsibilities of Editors
The Editor-in-Chief has all responsibility for final decision of a submitted manuscript. The Editor-in-Chief consults with the associate editors and other members of the editorial team, as well as with reviewers, in making publication decisions. Editors of Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry must follow the journal’s policies.
Editors are responsible for keeping integrity of double blind review process. Editorial decisions must be done in an objective and scientific basis. Decisions must not be affected by the origins of nationality, ethnicity, race or similar characteristics of the authors. Decisions must not also be affected local governments or agencies. Editors should keep any information regarding submitted manuscript confidential and should not share with anyone other than the reviewers, potential reviewers, editors, and the publisher. Editor-in-Chief should protect the integrity of the published articles and should take all necessary action in accordance with COPE guidelines in case of plagiarism and misconduct.
